From April 25th to 27th 2019, AVEC Network organized its General Assembly in Chefchaouen (Marocco).
This statutory meeting was the opportunity to gather our member in order to present them the 2018 assessment – second year of the Trienal Convention with the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, third phase of the Flood Resilient Museums (MRI) project, photographic project “Shared Heritage” – to think about our, already began, action and plan the potentially next project that can be carried by our network.

A symposium was organized at the end of our meeting about: “The new faces of cultural heritage management and tourism in historical cities“, this symposium was organized in partnership with the municipality of Chefchaouen, the Association Marocaine des EcoVilles (AMEV) – Moroccan Association of EcoCities – and the CAMID. This symposium allowed our members to present their experiences concerning protection and enhancement of their heritage as well as their way to act about the new tourism activities and the sustainable tourism topic. Moroccan experts were invited to speak about this axis during our conference.
