On October 3rd, the city of Chartres (France) held our Board of Directors.
It was also the opportunity for our members and our cities to meet in order to talk about the actions carried out in 2019: end of the third phase of the Flood Resilient Museums (MRI) project and initiation of the fourth phase, reminder of our last year of the Convention triennial with the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs as well as the work in progress of the publication of the photographic project “Shared heritages”. There was also a talk defining the 2020 strategy.
A workshop entitled “What kind of management of a remarkable heritage? Between preservation and enhancement?” was held following our statutory meeting. The director of the archeologic department of Chartres, the representant of the city of Freico de Espada à Cinta (Portugal) and the representant of Chartres hosted this very fruitful workshop. The day ended up with a visit of the Chartres’ Cathedral which was the 40th anniversary of its registration on the UNESCO list.
